Tshit.com in my possession

by Dennis Goedegebuure on June 24, 2007

Last Friday I paid for the domain, and the seller transferred the domain into my Godaddy account. I wanted to put up a site really quickly, but I have some problems with my hosting package.

I wanted to upload a page really quickly, so I can start building on the site over time. I have made a page around selling T-Shirts, and try to monetize the few page views that I will get through misspelled visits with affiliate programs and Google Adsense. Problem is that the Google Adsense don’t appear on the page, which is strange.

I have the Godaddy hosting economy, with Linux server set up. This is exactly the same package I have used for another site of mine, San Francisco Tips, and on this site the Adsense ads show exactly like I intended them to show up.

So if I upload the San Francisco tips page up to my new hosting package, the ads don’t show up either. I’m currently on the phone with the Godaddy support, which had no waiting line at all, and we are going through the server set up.

It appears that the Tshit.com site is parked on another server than the San Francisco Tips site. The CS rep cannot find the problem either, so I’m currently waiting on the advanced technical support.

The status is that they cannot find the problem. Godaddy has asked me to keep the san francisco tips site up and running at Tshit.com so their technical department can have a look. That will be Monday.

Now it’s just waiting until they come back, before I can continue building my network.

I have to say, the reviews of Godaddy are not always that good, but I’m satisfied with the service they provided me so far. The lines were quickly answered, and the person on the other line was polite. The only problem was that he was not technical savvy enough to help me, but what can I say it’s Sunday.
