Geert Wilders is a politician in The Netherlands. He is not what some people try to tell you, right wing. He is working on a movie called Fitna, which is about how the Islam is mistreating women and gays.
In The Netherlands ultra left wingers and moderate left wing politicians are trying to censor the movie, or even try to forbid the launch of the movie. Until now, they have not been successful.
Nobody knows what will be in the movie, so I think it is ridiculous to demonstrate against a movie, which might not be as disrespectful of the Islam after all. And what’s more important, what about freedom of speech?
A couple of years ago, the Dutch politician Ayaan Hirschi Ali made a movie about the Islam with the Dutch film maker Theo van Gogh. The filmmaker Theo van Gogh was murdered by an Islamic extremist.

Network Solutions was the hosting company for the official website for Fitna the movie. Network Solutions has taken the parked site offline. Where there used to be a landing page with the announcement that Fitna the movie was going to be released soon, there is now a page explaining why Network Solutions took the page down. Aarrhhgghum, explanation, it’s more that there are a few links to their T&C’s.

So far, the website Fitnathemovie.com has been offline now for over 48 hours, without any good reason for it.

Having lived for 12 years in Amsterdam, I have seen the change in the city. The youth from Muslim descent terrorize the city. During the Thursday evening, which is shopping evening, the city center is over crowded with Moroccan teens, boys, who do not have any respect for anybody, let alone women.
If you are walking there with your girlfriend, you have a big chance they will be disrespectful of her. If you have the guts to say something about it, let me remind you that they are always with a group, and act tough.
This is what’s wrong with Dutch society at the moment; a generation of Moroccan teen boys who demand respect, but don’t give any respect to anybody else.
Two cases that always jump into my mind:
- A woman driving her car in Amsterdam was being robbed by a 20 something boy, who was just released out of prison. He opened her passenger door, and grabbed her purse. He took of on a scooter. She tried to chase him down, and put her car in reverse. While driving in reverse, speeding, the car was difficult to handle, and she caused an accident with the robber. He got in between the bumper and the car. Unfortunately he died. But guess what… The woman was prosecuted for his death. I think she deserves a medal… Instead, she gets 180 community service. The prosecutor had asked for 2.5 years in prison. For one, keeping her this time in prison won’t give us back Ali El Bejjati, if we even wanted to have him back in society! Second, I think the woman in this horrible story has been punished enough; first she was the victim of a crime, than she had to live with the fact that because of her actions she had killed somebody, furthermore, she has been harassed for more than 3 years by the friends of the criminal Ali El Bejjati.
- Just last year, a crazy Islamic extremist attacked two police officers with a knife. He stabbed both of them inside the police station. They defended themselves and shot him. He died. In the aftermath, hundreds of cars were set on fire by the extreme youth of Moroccan decent. The police did nothing to secure the cars of the hard working people who were living in that particular neighborhood.
A couple of funny bumper sticker text that were sent in to Dutch blog Geenstijl, who were asking for Bumper Sticker text for the first example above here:
- Kijk uit, schafuit, of ik rij achteruit! (What’s out rascal, or I drive backwards!)
- Ik ben niet lief, voor een vieze tasjesdief (Rhyme: I’m, not nice for a thief if my purse)
- Dat is nog eens bumperkleven! (Now that is a bumper sticker)
- I love blood donors
- Ook bebloed plakt deze sticker goed (even bloody, this sticker will stick)
- Oeps ik had je echt niet gezien (Oups, I realy didn’t see you)
- Morgen koop ik een nieuwe tas en bumper (Tomorrow I’m going to buy a new purse and bumper)
Imagine it was your purse that was stolen out of your car by a punk who just did not want to work. Or imagine you come out of your house ready to go to work, and your car has gone up in flames. Imagine the police did not do anything to prevent this, and the insurance don’t want to pay you anything back.
Now imagine that a website is taken offline, because of some complaints of people that the future content of the site will be offensive for some group of people.
Where is our freedom of speech?
The following websites have already taken action and are supportive to Geert Wilders.
And many more will follow…
Join to support Geert Wilders in his freedom of speech.
Until then, there are plenty of supporters who will host the movie: Fitna on their site. If the movie comes out, I’m prepared to host it on this blog… if the hosting provider will allow me…
There are even some fakers who will show the movie, oppose the views of Geert Wilders, but will make a buck on Google Adsense and Amazon affiliate revenue! WTF
